Sadao Health Quarantine and Bukit Kayu Hitam Health Office.
Situation 1: In case of accepting patients infected with X
On 9 January 2023 at 7:00 a.m., The Sadao Health Quarantine Received notification
from the Bukit Kayu Hitam Health Office, Malaysia. that there will be a referral of patient X
that is not infectious stage, male, 52 years old, Thai nationality, occupation, fisherman,
congenital disease, diabetes, asthma from Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Malaysia to continue
treatment at Sadao Hospital
The Sadao Health Quarantine has meeting to prepare for referral via Zoom Meeting
system on 10 January 2023 at 3 p.m. with the Songkhla Provincial Public Health Office, Sadao
Hospital Thailand, Bukit Kayu Hitam Health Office, Malaysia, Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital,
Malaysia
Situation 2: In the case of sending the body of a person infected with X
On 5 January 2023, Mr. Muhamad Bin Ibrahim, 68 years old, a Malaysian national from
Kedah, Malaysia. Traveled back to visit family in Sadao District, Songkhla Province. On 7 January
2023, He started to have fever, cough, underlying disease, high blood pressure. Along with
having shortness of breath and having difficulty breathing, He went to see a doctor at Sadao
Hospital for examination and treatment, The doctor confirmed the X-infection and was treated
in an isolation room. Subsequently, the patient's condition deteriorated. The infection was
found in the lungs and died on 10 January 2023 at 5:45 a.m.
After doctors at Sadao Hospital Confirmed the cause of death of Mr. Muhamad Bin
Ibrahim. Relatives of the deceased wished to bring Mr. Muhamad Bin Ibrahim's body back for
Islamic rites by burial in Kedah, Malaysia. which will pass through the entrance and exit of
Sadao checkpoint, Sadao hospital staff has reported according to the system and liaising the
Sadao Health Quarantine to continue sending the body of infected person X back to Malaysia.
